Samsung is gearing up to bring the latest version of the successor to
the Galaxy S4 mini with Galaxy S5 mini, and to continue it’s tradition
of mid-range devices it seems.
If this report from Sammobile is to be believed, the Galaxy S5 mini device will have improved performance compared to the S4 mini but specs seem to indicate that the device will be mid range at best. the Galaxy S5 mini is said to come with a 720p (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display of 4.5 inches across, a nice upgrade over the 4.3-inch 540 x 960 display of the S4 mini.
On the processor side, it will be a Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.5GHz or at 1.2GHz . There will be 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, expandable via microSD. With these kind of specs it will surely compete with the likes of the Desire 601 and Moto G but to bring down something like Sony Xperia Z1 compact, it will have to have some really neat tricks which we hope it does.
